VERUCA SALT
Es una banda americana de Rock alternativo fundada en Chicago, Illinois 1993 por la vocalista Nina Gordon y la guitarrista Louis, uniendose el baterista Jim Shapiro y el bajista Steve Lack.
En 1998, Gordon dejó la banda para dedicarse a su carrera en solitario (su primera álbum "Tonight and the Rest of My Life", fue lanzado en el 2000). La disputa no divulgada entre Gordon y Post ha sido descrito como "una de las grandes telenovelas del rock, desde Fleetwood Mac o Hüsker Dü.
Post, siendo el único miembro de la banda original, contrató a nuevos integrantes, compuesto por Stephen Fitzpatrick (guitarra), Suzanne Sokol (guitarra) y Jimmy Madla (batería), y continuó grabando y actuando bajo el nombre de Veruca Salt. La nueva banda firmó con Beyond Records. El primer disco con la nueva formación fue 2000's Resolver.
En el 2007, la banda grabo un cover de Neil Young's song "Burned" for a 2007 Breast Cancer Benefit album. El 14 de marzo del 2012, la banda anuncio en su website oficial que they were in indefinite hiatus. Louise Post recently had a child while Fiorentino is currently playing bass with the Smashing Pumpkins.
On March 15, 2013 the band announced the reunion of its original line-up (Nina Gordon, Louise Post, Jim Shapiro, and Steve Lack) with a message on the band's official Facebook page which read, "for now let's just say this: hatchets buried, axes exhumed".
